Investment banking Summer 2028 internship timeline
For current sophomores (class of 2029). We track 71 investment banking programs and add each one as soon as the firm posts it, with dates and apply links from the firm's own careers site.
What the internship is
Investment banking summer analysts spend about ten weeks on a deal team, building financial models, preparing pitch materials and helping with live transactions such as mergers, acquisitions and capital raises. A strong summer usually ends with a full-time offer.
How recruiting usually works
Banks recruit far ahead: applications for Summer 2028 open long before the summer, and some firms fill places on a rolling basis, so applying early matters. The usual path is an online application, often a recorded video interview or online test, then first-round interviews and a final round of back-to-back interviews, often called a superday. Expect technical questions on accounting and valuation, questions about recent deals, and why banking and why this firm.
